Condition of Goods
To ensure complete satisfaction, all items are honestly described with detail as to any flaws, signs of wear, or damage.
Not forgetting the majority of the AJ Antiques and Collectable items have been owned and preloved and may show small signs of wear as is the charm with vintage items and any imperfections will be clearly mentioned in the item description and photos. However the items shown have all been carefully selected to avoid poor quality.
Any item that is less than ‘Fair Condition' will not be sold unless it is of special interest ie ‘Highly Collectable' and of course a full description of its wear will be given.
Electrical Goods: These are wired for 220 volts, but are not necessarily tested or rewired unless stated.
(UK only Electrical Items are sold as 'collectors electrical item' and sold with strict understanding that items are untested, without warranty or any guarantee as to working order. These items might not comply with Statutory requirements and are offered for sale solely for display purposes or historical interest. The items are not suitable for connection to mains electricity unless checked and warranted by a qualified electrician.)
AJ Antiques welcome holding deposits on items, but these will be only be held maximum for 2 weeks only from date of receipt/order.
Once lapsed, item will be returned to shop floor/website for selling and any holding deposit monies will not be refunded.
Cancellation and Returns
- In observance of the UK's Distance Selling Regulations, you can cancel an order for any of AJ Antiques and Collectable products within 7 days prior to despatch.
- Cancellation after despatch cannot be accepted.
- Please notify your intention to cancel to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Goods must be inspected on delivery and all claims must be reported to AJ Antiques and Collectables Limited 48 hours of receipt of the goods at email@example.com
Returns Policy and Procedure
If you wish to return any item(s) please ensure that you email your intention to: firstname.lastname@example.org and return the goods within 7 days of receipt of goods. You will then receive a confirmatory email. Please return item(s) using recorded delivery or obtain a proof of delivery from your Post Office, together with suitable insurance cover. Goods must be returned at your cost, complete, in their protective packaging and with any tags/stickers attached.
Goods must be returned in their original condition as per their despatch from AJ Antiques and Collectables. You will receive a refund for the returned item(s) within 30 days of receipt of goods. AJ Antiques and Collectables offers refunds only as mainly the items for sale are of a one off. We regret that we are unable to refund postage charges for the despatch or return of items.
AJ Antiques and Collectables Limited reserve the right to refuse refunds that are believed to have been worn or damaged since despatch from AJ Antiques and Collectables.
Please note that all furniture sales are final and AJ Antiques and Collectables Limited offer no return services related to furniture sales.
Packaging must be marked clearly as ‘returned goods' to assist Customs and customers are requested to retain their shipping documentation. Returns should be to sent to: AJ Antiques and Collectables Limited, 71 High Street, Bexley Village, Bexley, Kent, DA5 1AA, UK. (Please include your name, daytime telephone number, order number, and agreed reason for return).
